The 3rd trimester progress review of the National Renewable Energy Framework (NREF) for FY 2017/18 evaluates progress in enhancing Nepal’s renewable energy sector, focusing on improving governance, stakeholder coordination, and financial access. While the framework has advanced in aligning renewable energy policies with the new federal structure and international goals, delays in establishing a Steering Committee and integrating provincial and local governments have posed significant challenges.
